Lubbock, Texas - Members of the Trinity
University track and field team had stellar performances at the
Texas Tech Invitational indoor meet Saturday.
Chass Armstrong was runner-up in the men's 1,000 meters
(2:30.91), at the meet dominated by NCAA Division I athletes.
Bryant Wright placed second in the men's mile (4:18.03). Zach Brush
was sixth in the 800 meters (1:54.86), and Spencer Hayes finished
eighth in the 55 meters (6.47 seconds). Robert Edmonds was ninth in
the 3,000 meters (8:57.78). Justin Campbell was an 11th-place
finisher in the shot put (14.09 meters, 46-02.75).
In the women's events, Caitlin Masse had a third-place finish in
the 3,000 meters (10:15.48), and Elana Edwards was fifth in the
high jump (1.54 meters, 5-00.50). Caroline Sibley finished 10th in
the mile (6:03.40), and Elizabeth Sloan was close behind at No. 12
(6:20.13). Elizabeth Tweedy registered a 12th-place finish in the
triple jump (10.51 meters, 34-05.75).
Trinity will next compete Friday, Feb. 12, at the Valentine
Invitational in Boston.
