Box Score Kerrville, Texas -- The Trinity Tigers women shot a final-round 332 Tuesday to capture the Scheiner Women's Spring Shootout at The Club at Comanche Trace.
Trinity recorded a two-round total 671 at the par-72, 5,849-yard Comanche Trace course. The Tigers led Texas-Tyler (676) by five strokes to claim the victory.
Five Tiger golfers finished in the top-20, including senior Emma Herzog (Katy, Texas/Cinco Ranch) who tied for the runner-up slot. Herzog shot an 81 Tuesday for a 164 total. Kayla Ketcheson of Northwood won individual honors, shooting a 76 (158).
First-year golfer Molly Zumbro (San Antonio/Reagan) claimed fourth place, with a team-best round of 79 (165 total). Sophomore Madison Wallender (Spring Branch, Texas/Smithson Valley) was in a tie for sixth place, after shooting 86 (168).
Molly McCarthy (Fulshear, Texas/Foster), a first-year golfer, tied for 14th, with a final-round 86 (174). Junior Julia Orrange (Georgetown, Texas/Georgetown) placed in a tie for 18th, shooting an 87 (177). Elise Rosmarin (Wellesley, Mass./Heritage School) , a first-year playing as an individual, finished just out of the top 20, in 21st place. Rosmarin recorded an 84 (180) for the two-day total.
Finishing behind Trinity and Texas-Tyler were host Schreiner (685), Northwood (693), McMurry (723), Concordia (742), Texas A&M International (802), and Texas-Dallas (1,042).
