Mobile, Alabama - Trinity men's tennis
player Aaron Skinner earned a 7-5, 6-4 win over the top singles
seed at the ITA Small College National Championships on Thursday
afternoon, advancing to Friday's Semifinals.
Skinner defeated Washington (MO) University's Adam Putterman
today, after winning yesterday's play-in match to reach the main
draw. He won 6-3, 6-4 yesterday, qualifying for the
tournament by winning the ITA Southwest Regional Championship.
In the Semifinal, Skinner will face Adam Hersh from Johns
Hopkins University on Friday at 10:30 a.m. He is shooting for
Trinity's first ITA Singles title since 1997.
Head Coach Russell McMindes led the Tigers in winning this
year's singles and doubles regional titles. Skinner and
teammate Jordan Mayer lost their play-in match in yesterday's
action.
