Box Score San Antonio - Trinity's Ryan Gill and
Corey Callahan have been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic
Conference Men's and Women's Field Athletes of the Week.
The two Tigers competed at the Trinity Heptathlon-Decathlon last
week, and both student-athletes set personal records in the overall
event.
Callahan beat her previous record by 200 points with her 4,091
total score in the heptathlon. She ranks in the top five in
Division III in the heptathlon and in the long jump. Callahan
leads the SCAC in the long jump this season.
Gill outscored his old personal beste by more than 400 points in
the decathlon, scoring 5,860 points. He is ranked in the top
five nationally in the decathlon as well. Gill is the top
performer in the SCAC in the high jump this season, and he is also
in the top eight in the javelin, discus, and long jump.
Trinity will host the Tiger Relays on Friday evening at the
Trinity University Track & Field Stadium.
