San Antonio - Trinity's Elana Edwards has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week.

Edwards had one of her best meets of the season at last weekend's Trinity Alumni Classic.  She posted season-best marks in both the high jump and the triple jump, and has moved into the top five in the SCAC in both events.

In the high jump, she reached 1.58 meters to take over second in the SCAC this season, and her 10.27 meter triple jump places her fourth in the conference.

Trinity will next compete at the SCAC Championships in Birmingham, Alabama.  The two-day event begins on Friday, April 27.
