Box Score Temple, Texas - The Tiger women's golf
team wrapped up the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Lady Crusader
Fall Invitational with a sixth-place finish on Tuesday
afternoon.
Trinity shot a combined 342 in the second round, finishing
behind Southwestern University. The Tigers were tied for
fifth with Southwestern after yesterday's opening round of
play.
Tyler Junior College won the event with a two-day score of 639,
while Schreiner University (642) and Western Texas Community
College (644) were both within five strokes of the winners.
Madison Wallender was Trinity's top finisher in the tournament,
tying for 13th individually with her two-day score of 164 (79-85).
Molly McCarthy had the team's best score on Tuesday, shooting
an 82 to finish in 20th place overall, and just two strokes back of
Wallender.
Brigitte Lee matched her score from yesterday's round, shooting
back-to-back 85's to finish 27th individually, while Molly Zumbro
shot a combined 172 (82-90) to earn a spot in the top 30 as well.
Alessa Hutter shot 87-91 (178) over the two-day event, while
Madeline Moran shot 88-91 (179) playing as an individual for the
tournament.
Trinity returns to action October 15-16 at the Schreiner Fall
Classic, in Kerrville, Texas. The Tigers will host the Alamo
City Classic on October 22-23 the following week. That
tournament will be held at River Crossing Golf Club, in Spring
Branch, Texas.
