Full results

The Tiger women's 4x100 meter relay team highlighted the meet with a new school-record time of 48.95 seconds.  The team was made up of Mary Kate Stewart, Salome Wilfred, Tolley St. Clair, and Bailey Drury.  The previous record of 49.22 seconds was set in 2007.

The 4x400 meter relay team also posted the fourth-fastest time in school history, finishing in 4:00.59 on Friday.  Drury and Wilfred also competed in that race, joined by Jessie Dean and Mariana Sigala.  The Tiger relay team is less than three seconds from the team record.

Indvidually, Stewart also set a new personal record in the 100 meter dash, winning her heat in a time of 12.88 seconds.  Drury raced home in 59.29 in the 400 meter dash, setting a new personal best in the event as well.  Dean also had a solid performance in the 400, finishing in 60.56.

On the men's side, Sal Perdomo won the 1,500 meter run with a time of 3:58.25, which was the fastest time in his career.  Tiger women's runners Nicola Hill and Jessica Needle also set a new personal record in the 1,500, finishing in 5:03.3 and 5:03.13, respectively, and went 1-2 in their heat.

The 10,000 meter run featured three new personal records for Trinity runners.  Pancho Escobedo was first among collegiate runners with his time of 32:31, while Taylor Piske was fourth with a time of 33:05 in the race.  Jackie Newell finished first among women's runners in the event, finishing in 38:45 for her personal best time.

Darian Sommers raced to the finish in 11.38 seconds in the 100 meter dash for his new personal best, while Rudy Esparza posted his best time (1:58.41) in the 800 meter run as well.

Two Tigers stood out among several good performances in field events.  Justin Campbell continued his strong season with a toss of 42.37 meters in the hammer throw, which is the second-best mark in Trinity history.

Anecia Richardson threw 32.75 meters in the shot put to earn a spot in the top 10 all-time at Trinity (seventh).  Richardson was a standout for the Tiger women's basketball team during the winter season, and is now looking to make her mark in track & field as well.

Trinity returns to action next weekend at the David Noble Relays in San Angelo, Texas.  The meet is hosted by Angelo State University, and will be the first of four meets for the Tiger teams during the month of April.
