Ronac Giannone Finishes Eighth in the Decathlon at David Noble Meet

San Angelo, Texas - Trinity first-year athlete Miro Ronac Giannone finished eighth in the men's decathlon at the David Noble ASU Multi Meet.

Ronac Giannone amassed 5,618 points at the meet consisting of NCAA Division I, II, and junior college competitors at Angelo State University.

He finished strong in Friday's events, coming in third in the 1,500 meters, with a time of 4:45.55 (646 points).  Ronac Giannone tied for fourth place in the pole vault, with a mark of 3.86 meters (579). He ran the 110-meter hurdles in 20.87 seconds (284), threw the discus 33.60 meters (536), and posted a mark of 38.04 meters (414) in the javelin.

On Thursday's opening day, Ronac Giannone ran the 100 meters in 11.43 seconds (767 points), and posted a long jump mark of 6.14 meters (617). He recorded a distance of 10.49 meters in the shot put (515), jumped 1.71 meters in the high jump (552), and finished the day with a 52.39 seconds performance (708) in the 400 meters.
