Box Score San Antonio - Four Trinity Tigers swept the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Track & Field Athlete of the Week honors.
Sophomore Michael Erickson was named the SCAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week, and sophomore Natalie Geisler was tabbed as the Women's Track Athlete of the Week. Senior Rebecca Earle was selected as the Women's Field Athlete of the Week, and first-year Joel Holmes garnered Men's Field Athlete of the Week accolades. Geisler is the conference leader in the women's 1,500 meters, at 4:57.28, and stands at No. 3 in the 800 meters, with a 2:23.43, after the UIW meet.
Earle threw the women's javelin 25.86 meters, and the shot put 10.09 meters last weekend. Holmes registered a throw of 13.10 meters in the men's shot put.
Trinity's women's team will host a tri-meet Wednesday with the College of St. Benedict (MN), and Tufts (MA) University, starting at 5:00 p.m. The Tigers men's and women's teams will compete at two events Friday. Some team members will head to the Victor Lopez Classic at Rice University in Houston, Texas. Other's will represent Trinity at the McMurry War Hawk Classic, at McMurry University in Abilene, Texas.
