Box Score San Antonio - Trinity senior Bailey Drury and sophomore Britney Sullivan have been named the respective Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Track & Field Athletes of the Week.
Each student-athlete turned in an excellent performance at last Saturday's Pomona-Pitzer Invitational at Claremont, California.
Drury placed 10th in the 400 meters, clocking in at 59.17 seconds. She placed 15th out of 83 runners in the 200 meters, and was part of the sixth-place team in the 4x400-meter relay. Drury and her teammates also finished eighth in the 4x100-meter relay. She is the SCAC leader in the 200 and 400 meters, and her two relay teams are also tops in the conference.
Sullivan finished fourth and seventh, respectively, in the triple jump and long jump. Her mark in the long jump is the seventh-best in the nation, while her triple jump distance ranks 14th in Division III this season. The versatile Sullivan was also part of the 4x100-meter relay quartet.
Trinity's women's and men's teams will defend their titles at the SCAC Track & Field Championships April 22-23, hosted by Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, Texas.
