Box Score San Antonio - Trinity junior Austin Brown, sophomore Cody Hall, and first-year Mia Loseff earned Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Track & Field Athlete of the Week honors.
Brown was named SCAC Co-Track Men's Athlete of the Week, while Hall was tabbed as the Field Athlete of the Week. Loseff picked up Women's Field Athlete of the Week accolades. All turned in stellar performances at last week's Trinity Tiger Invitational, held at the Trinity University Track & Field Stadium.
In the men's 5,000 meters, Brown won the event with a personal-best time of 15:11.68. He also has the fastest mark among conference runners.
Hall earlier was named the SCAC Track Athlete of the Week. He finished second in the men's long jump at the Trinity meet, with a mark of 7.07 meters. Hall is now ranked fifth nationally in the NCAA Division III. The versatile Hall also won the 400-meter hurdles, and was a member of the victorious 4x100-meter relay team.
Loseff placed second in the women's pole vault, tying her personal-best effort at 3.20 meters. She leads the SCAC in the pole vault, and is fifth in the long jump, after her 4.87-meters vertical jump at the Trinity Tiger Invitational.
Trinity's teams will compete in two meets this weekend. Some athletes will remain in San Antonio Friday and Saturday for the UIW Invitational, to be held at the University of the Incarnate Word. Others will head to Claremont, California, for Saturday's Pomona-Pitzer Invitational.
