San Antonio - Trinity sophomore Elliot Blake and junior Britney Sullivan have been tabbed as Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Track & Field Athletes of the Week.

Blake was named the SCAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week, while Sullivan was chosen as the Women's Field Athlete of the Week. The entire Tiger team turned in excellent performances last week at the Trinity Open.

At Trinity's first home meet of the season, Blake won the men's 1,500 meters with a personal-best time of 4:02.47. He is now listed in the top-10 in Trinity's record books.

Sullivan finished second in the women's triple jump, leaping 11.74 meters. Prior to the meet, Sullivan held Trinity's top-two distances in the event, and her most recent jump stands in third place on the all-time lists.

Trinity's student-athletes will compete Saturday at the Cuero Gobbler Invitational, at Cuero, Texas.
