Cody Hall Earns All-America Honors at NCAA Indoor Championships

Naperville, Illinois - Trinity's Cody Hall earned All-America honors in the men's 60-meter hurdles Saturday at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships.

 

HIGHLIGHTS

Hall ran the 60-meter hurdles in 8.11 seconds, finishing in second place. The Tiger junior was in fifth place until the final hurdle, when he surged ahead for the runner-up slot. The winner from Rowan (NJ) University posted a time of 7.98 seconds.

Britney Sullivan also competed in Saturday's NCAA event, placing 14th in the women's triple jump with a mark of 11.37 meters.

Hall became Trinity's first track & field All-American since 2010, and the first under fifth-year Head Coach Marcus Whitehead. Hall entered the meet with the third-fastest time nationally, and qualified for the finals with a second-place finish in yesterday's prelims.

Sullivan competed in the triple jump for the second consecutive year, and finished 13th in her signature event in 2016. This year, Sullivan's best jump of 11.66 meters stood in ninth place, prior to competing in the NCAA Indoors.

 

UP NEXT

The Tigers teams will compete March 24 in the McMurry War Hawk Classic (Abilene, Texas), and at the Victor Lopez Classic (Houston, Texas).
