San Antonio - The 15th-ranked Trinity men's tennis team lost 6-3 to #2 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CA) Colleges on Friday.
HIGHLIGHTS
The Tigers captured all three doubles matchups, but the Stags won all six singles pairings.
Matt Tyer and Wilson Lambeth won #1 doubles, Clayton Niess and Chas Mayer took the second line, and Jordan Pitts and Liam Crawley were the winners of the third matchup.
Claremont began its comeback by winning #6 singles, with Niess playing for the Tigers. Mayer lost 7-5 in the second set in the top match, and Lambeth dropped the #2 matchup. .
The Stags took the lead at #5 singles, as McKenna Fujitani lost 7-6 in the second set. The clincher came on the third line as Pitts came up short in the third set. Crawley finished up with a three-set loss at #4 singles.
NOTABLES
The Tigers now stand at 9-8 overall, and are 8-5 against NCAA Division III opponents. Claremont remained undefeated with a 16-0 record.

Trinity will host two matches Saturday, starting with top-ranked Emory (GA) University at 10:00 a.m. The Tigers take on Laredo (TX) Community College, ranked sixth in the National Junior College Athletic Association, at 3:00 p.m.
