All-Americans Crowned on Final Day of Track & Field Nationals

Box Score

Geneva, Ohio - Trinity's Cody Hall and Ayriel Coleman earned respective men's and women's All-America honors at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday.

HIGHLIGHTS

Hall placed fourth in the men's 110-meter hurdles, clocking in at 14.31 seconds.  He was seeded seventh coming into the event, and finished ninth at last year's NCAA meet.

This is the second time this season that Hall has garnered All-America accolades, as he placed second in the 60-meter hurdles at the NCAA Indoor Championships in March.

Coleman was a seventh-place finisher in the women's triple jump, turning in a school-record mark of 11.98 meters.

Coleman became Trinity's first women's track & field student-athlete to earn All-America honors as a first-year competitor.  She was seeded 14th in the triple jump entering the meet.

Britney Sullivan competed in her third consecutive NCAA Championships event, finishing 12th in this year's meet with a mark of 11.75 meters.

Sullivan was 10th at last year's nationals and 19th in 2015.  She finished 14th at the Indoor Championships earlier this season, and was 13th at 2016 Indoors.

The six Tiger entrants at this year's NCAA Championships tied a school record for the largest number of competitors at the event.

Marcus Whitehead completed his fifth year as head coach of Trinity's track & field teams. He has guided a total of nine student-athletes to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in his five seasons.
