GAME SUMMARY
After struggling for most of the weekend to get things going early, the Tigers were finally able to come away with a doubles point. Carnegie Mellon picked up the first two points of the match with wins at line one and three, but the first-year duo of Wilson Hamilton and Jace Akagi-Okuma at line two were able to come away with 8-4 victory and bring it to a 2-1 match going into singles play.
The Tigers tried to carry the momentum into singles play, but they lost two close first sets (7-5) at lines one and three that allowed the Tartans to eventually grab two more victories. Akagi-Okuma then fell 6-4, 6-1 at line four to allow Carnegie Mellon to clinch the match.
Pitts was able to grab Trinity's only singles point at line two with his 6-4, 7-5 win, but it would prove to come too late. The final two singles matches were left unfinished.
