Box Score Houston, Texas - Trinity's men's and women's track and field teams opened their campaigns Friday at the indoor Houston Invitational, taking on NCAA Division I and other scholarship athletes.
HIGHLIGHTS
Sean Majors placed fourth in a field of 14 in the men's long jump at Yeoman Field House. Majors posted a jump of 6.78 meters, only 0.03 meters behind the third-place finisher from the host University of Houston (TX).
Blair Walker won his section of the 400-meter dash and turned in a seventh-place performance in the finals with a mark of 50.86 seconds. Seve Rodriguez placed 15th in the event, at 51.91 seconds.
Romeo De Leon was a #17 finisher in the 200-meter dash at 23.12 seconds, while Raphael Martin placed 21st with a time of 23.33 seconds.
Abigail Bannon-Schneebeck ran the women's 60-meter hurdles qualifying in 9.50 seconds and placed 15th in the event. Bannon-Schneebeck earned a slot in Saturday's preliminaries.
