Box Score Dallas, Texas - The 17th-ranked Trinity men's tennis team posted shutout victories over Austin (TX) College and Concordia (TX) University Saturday at Southern Methodist (TX) University.
HIGHLIGHTS
The Tigers first defeated Austin College 5-0, and then beat Concordia 9-0 in the second match of the day.
Trinity took all three doubles matchups with Austin College. Jordan Pitts and Wilson Lambeth won the top line, Cameron Krimbill and Artur Zigman won the second, and Wilson Hamilton and Jace Akagi-Okuma captured the third.
Krimbill won his #4 singles match in straight sets, and the clincher came on the second line with Lambeth claiming a two set victory. Jordan Pitts, Willson Hamilton, Jace Akagi-Okuma and Tilden Oliver left their matches at lines one, three, five and six, respectively, unfinished after the Tigers clinched the dual-match victory.
The Tigers played the same doubles and singles lineup in the shutout of Concordia later in the day.
NOTABLES
The Tigers improved their overall record to 9-8 and are 8-2 against NCAA Division III opponents. Austin College dropped to 4-6 and Concordia is 6-3.
Wilson Lambeth and Jordan Pitts are now 13-3 as a doubles team.
