Houston, Texas - Trinity's men's and women's track & field teams were in action at the Tom Tellez Invitational on Friday night.

HIGHLIGHTS

Robert Slaybaugh won the men's shot put with a mark of 13.76 meters, as well as finishing fourth in the discus with a throw of 44.68 meters on Friday.

Stella Affognon was sixth in both the shot and discus events on the women's side, including a season-best throw of 11.51 meters in the shot put.

Androniki Defteraiou finished in the top 10 with a long jump of 5.03 meters, as well as a time of 17.62 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles.

Peyton Tuggle ran 10.93 seconds in the 100-meter dash to finish 13th overall, as well as running the second leg of Trinity's second-place team in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 41.92 seconds. Joining Tuggle were Christopher Stewart, Raphael Martin, and Blair Walker.

The Tiger 4x400-meter relay also finished second on Friday, as Sean Majors, Seve Rodriguez, Martin, and Walker finished in a time of 3:19.11

Stewart and Romeo De Leon also finished in the top 20 in the men's 100 meters.

Mia Loseff and Makenna Bentley finished third in the women's pole vault and high jump events, respectively. Loseff cleared 3.56 meters in the pole vault, while Bentley was just shy of her season-best with a mark of 1.58 meters in the high jump.

Spyridon Defteraios was fifth int he javelin with his throw of 45.77 meters, while Tanner Lacy cleared 4.35 meters in the pole vault for a seventh-place finish.
