San Antonio - Trinity men's tennis singles players are competing in eight flights of the St. Mary's (TX) University Quad Tournament on Friday, and all advanced to each of the championship matches at the Annemarie Tennis Center.

HIGHLIGHTS

Jordan Pitts won his Flight 1 Singles semifinals match with a 7-6, 7-5 decision over Artur Etzburger of Our Lady of the Lake (TX) University. 

Cameron Krimbill bested Murilo Salviato of Our Lady of the Lake 6-3, 3-0, retired (injury) in Flight 2. Wilson Hamilton was a 6-0, 6-0 winner over Simon Carandang of Texas Lutheran University in Flight 3.

Artur Zigman took his Flight 4 semis matchup with a 6-1, 6-0 decision over Johari Dramiga of Texas Lutheran. Allen Song defeated Vinicius Olveira of Our Lady of the Lake 6-0, 6-2 in Flight 5.

Cal Hunter advanced to the Flight 6 championship by taking out Dristan Weaver of Texas Lutheran 6-0, 6-1. Brett Finan shut out Dylan Layne of TLU 6-0, 6-0 in Flight 7. Rounding out the singles winners was Lars Wiik in Flight 8, who beat Josh Flores of Texas Lutheran 6-1 6-2.

The championship pairings are set for Saturday.

The five flight of doubles are round-robin competion, and the third round will be played Saturday.

Among the highlights, Hamilton and Hao Nguyen won their Friday opening matches in Flight 3 and stand at 2-0. Pitts and Krimbill are 1-1 after the opening day of competition.
