Box Score Honolulu, Hawaii – The 13th-ranked Tiger men's tennis team lost 8-1 against #2 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CA) Colleges on Saturday.
HIGHLIGHTS
The Tigers fall to 1-2 overall and 1-1 against Division III opponents, while Claremont remains unbeaten at 3-0 to start the season.
Trinity began the match with an 8-3 win at line two doubles by Christian Settles and Hao Nguyen, but that would prove to be the lone point scored for the Tigers.
Claremont won the other two doubles matches by identical 8-3 scores to take a 2-1 lead into singles play. The Sagehens won all six singles matches in straight sets.
Jordan Pitts suffered his first singles loss of the season after winning his first two matches this week. He was the last match off the court at line two, falling 4-6, 2-6.
