Box Score 2 San Antonio - The 12th-ranked Trinity men's tennis team swept the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Player of the Week Awards.
Wilson Hamilton was tabbed as the SCAC Men's Tennis Singles Player of the Week, and he joined Artur Zigman in Doubles Team of the Week kudos.
The Tiger standouts helped Trinity go 3-0 last weekend in road matches. Trinity shut out East Texas Baptist University and Schreiner (TX) University by scores of 9-0 in San Marcos, Texas. A trip to Houston, Texas, resulted in a 9-0 Trinity victory over the University of St. Thomas (TX).
Hamilton went undefeated in his singles matches. He won #3 singles against East Texas Baptist, the fourth line against Schreiner, and the third match in the finale with St. Thomas. Hamilton stands at 9-4 in singles competition this season.
The Tiger junior and Zigman, a sophomore, also posted a 3-0 doubles record. The Trinity tandem captured all of matches at #3 doubles and stand at 7-4 as a team.
Trinity is on a 10-match win streak and is sporting a 12-6 overall record with an 11-1 mark against NCAA Division III opponents. Next up is a match on Friday, March 20, against NCAA Division I member University of the Incarnate Word (TX). The matchup will be played at the San Antonio Country Club.
