San Antonio - Trinity juniors Raini Hyunh and Jordan Juran have been honored as Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Track & Field Athletes of the Week.

Hyunh was tabbed as the SCAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week, while Juran was named the Women's Track Athlete of the Week. Both Tigers distinguished themselves at last week's Trinity Invitational home meet.

Huynh posted a mark of 4.40 meters (14 feet, 5 inches) in the men's pole vault, improving his personal-best performance by two and a half feet. A first-time collegiate competitor in the triple jump, Huynh chalked up a leap of 12.96 meters.

Juran won the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase by an impressive margin of over 40 seconds. Her personal-best time of 11:06.52 ranks third on Trinity's all-time records list.

The Tiger teams will next compete March 20-21 at the Texas A&M University-Kingsville Cactus Cup at Kingsville, Texas.
