Box Score Houston, Texas - The 12th-ranked Trinity men's tennis team concluded its weekend matches with a 9-0 shutout of the University of St. Thomas (TX) at Memorial Park on Sunday.
HIGHLIGHTS
The Tigers are on a 10-match win streak and stand at 12-6 on the season, with an 11-1 mark against NCAA Division III opponents.
St. Thomas dropped to 4-3 after the loss.
Jordan Pitts and Cameron Krimbill won #1 doubles, while Christian Settles and Hao Nguyen took the second line.
Wilson Hamilton and Artur Zigman had the closest doubles match, winning the third line 8-6.
All of the singles matches resulted in straight-sets wins for the Tigers.
Krimbill won the top singles matchup and Pitts took the second. Hamilton won #3 singles, taking the second set 7-6.
Nguyen was victorious on the fourth line, while Settles won the fifth match, winning the first set 7-6. Zigman represented the Tigers in #6 singles.
Settles and Nguyen continued their doubles onslaught and now are 13-0 as a tandem. Krimbill and Pitts, and Hamilton and Zigman are sporting 7-4 doubles marks.
Pitts improved his singles record to 11-6, while Nguyen, Settles and Zigman are 9-3 on the season. Hamilton upped his record to 9-4.
