Box Score San Antonio - Members of the Trinity men's tennis team have received high national and regional singles and doubles rankings from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
Junior Cameron Krimbill was ranked 12th in singles and senior Jordan Pitts held a #28 ranking in the ITA NCAA Division III National Poll. Krimbill and Pitts were also ranked #21 as a doubles team.
Krimbill finished the shortened season by winning three matches in a row for a 7-8 overall record, including a 6-7 mark at #1 singles. He also was ranked fourth in the ITA West Region. Last fall, Krimbill won the ITA Southwest Region Singles Championship and advanced to the ITA Cup at Rome, Georgia, tying for 11th place.
Pitts went on an eight-match win streak and completed the campaign with an 11-6 singles record, while going 8-5 on the second line. He was ranked eighth in West Region singles.
The doubles team of Krimbill and Pitts won seven consecutive matches and wrapped up the year with a 7-4 record in the top position, finishing with a #6 Regional ranking.
Sophomore Christian Settles and first-year Hao Nguyen sported a perfect 13-0 doubles record, including an 11-0 mark on the second line. Settles and Nguyen received a ranking of seventh in the West Region.
Junior Wilson Hamilton concluded the season with a seven-match win streak and a 9-4 singles record, including a 7-3 performance on the third line. He earned a #20 ranking in the West Region.
Guided by 11th-year Head Coach Russell McMindes, the Tigers finished up by winning their final 10 matches and posting a 12-6 record, including an 11-1 mark against NCAA Division III opponents. The ITA ranked Trinity 12th in the national poll.
