Box Score

SEGUIN, Texas - Trinity University Track & Field senior Keaton Holt (Portland, Ore. / Grant) was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Elite 19 Award winner for Men's Track & Field at the conclusion of the SCAC Championships Sunday afternoon.

This is the tenth time a Tiger athlete has earned the Elite 19 award, the first recognition for Holt on the track and third overall in his Tiger career. Holt is the second SCAC athlete to earn the Elite 19 a third time, the first repeat winner for Trinity.

The senior distance runner received the award as he (1) garnered All-SCAC recognition with a runner-up performance in the 10,000m and third-place finish in the 5,000m in the SCAC Championship meet, (2) maintained at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA and (3) a minimum of 60 credit hours. The senior physics major currently holds a 3.988 GPA in anticipation of graduating this spring.

Trinity swept the men's and women's SCAC Championships Sunday, combining for 21 event titles and a total of 52 all-conference performances. The men's squad outscored runner-up Texas Lutheran University 246 to 207, followed by Colorado College in third with 106 points.

The Grant High School graduate was named a CoSIDA Academic Third-Team All-American last summer, which added to a list of academic accolades that included six total SCAC Academic Honor Roll appearances and a pair of United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team nods.
