Box Score NAPERVILLE, Ill.- The Trinity University track and field team sent select members to the Gregory Invitational, hosted by North Central College (IL). Today, junior Tanner Lacy (Oak Ridge North, Texas / Oak Ridge) competed in the pole vault while Seve Rodriguez (Waimea, Hawaii / La Canada), Sean Majors (Fredericksburg, Texas / Fredericksburg), Justin Johnson (Houston, Texas / Manvel), and Ethan Gilmore (Houston, Texas / Lamar) raced in the 4x400-meter relay.
Lacy was not able to clear an attempt over a qualifying height in his three pole vault attempts today but will look to take another crack at it tomorrow in the the Twilight Qualifier, hosted by Augustana College (IL).
The quartet of Rodgriguez, Majors, Johnson, and Gilmore raced to a new PR for the 2021 season with a time of 3:15.98 in the 4x400-meter relay. With that time, the Tigers currently sit in 12th place nationally. The relay team will also compete at the Twilight Qualifier tomorrow in hopes of racing to an even faster time to secure a spot in the National Championships.
Senior Jordan Juran (Littleton, Colo. / Chatfield) and first-year Ellie Catron (Spring, Texas / The Woodlands Christian) will both compete in the steeple tomorrow at the Redlands Final Qualifier, hosted by University of Redlands (CA). Sophomore Jordyn White (St. Louis, Mo. / Lutheran North) will compete in the long jump at the Gregory Invitational tomorrow.
Lacy, Rodgriguez, Majors, Johnson and Gilmore will all compete at the Twilight Qualifier, hosted by Augustana College tomorrow. The first running event is scheduled for 3:30 pm.
Juran and Catron will be competing at the Redlands Final Qualifier, hosted by University of Redlands.
White will be the lone tiger competing at the Gregory Invitational, hosted by North Central College. The first event is slated to start at 10:30 am. All of the Tigers that will be competing tomorrow are looking to punch their ticket into the NCAA Championships.
