ROME, Ga. – Tiger men's tennis senior All-American Alessio Azzalini (Rome, Italy / Istituto Visconti) closed out his play at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Cup at the Rome Tennis Centre on Friday.

Azzalini concluded his weekend with a straight-set 7-5, 6-4 victory over Marco Siviero of Gustavus Adolphus College in the consolations. Azzalini lost in three sets in his opening match yesterday, then also lost his first consolation singles match later in the day. Both losses came against nationally-ranked singles players in 2021-22.

Trinity competed at the ITA Southwest Regional Championships in late September and Azzalini claimed the Singles Championship to qualify for this weekend's ITA Cup. He also appeared in the Doubles Final with first-year Rafa Candelas Ruiz (Zacatecas, Mexico / American [ESP]), but the duo fell just short of winning the title.
