#6 Trinity Scores SCAC Road Shutout at Colorado College

Trinity had nine different players see action in the win, with three Tigers picking up wins in both singles and doubles action. Cameron Goldstein (Dallas, Texas / Episcopal) and Wilson Hamilton (Austin, Texas / ATA College Prep) teamed up at line two doubles and finished off the sweep with their 8-4 victory that put Trinity in front 3-0. Hamilton was also a singles winner at line three, while Goldstein held on for a 14-12 win in the second-set tiebreaker at line six. The doubles duo teamed up for the first time this season, while Goldstein remains undefeated at 2-0 in singles play.

Christian Settles (Claremont, Calif. / Claremont) teamed up with Hao Nguyen (Sugar Land, Texas / Strake Jesuit) in line one doubles to start the day's scoring, improving to 6-3 as a team this season. Settles also scored a straight-set win at line three singles and holds the same record in singles.

Rob Chang (Aiea, Hawaii / 'Iolani School) and Dalton Locke (Humble, Texas / Kingwood) also teamed up in doubles for the first time this season, scoring a line three victory that marked the first doubles win for both Tiger players.

Cameron Krimbill (Scottsdale, Ariz. / Desert Mountain) scored his seventh consecutive singles win on Sunday, snagging the first singles point of the match. Alessio Azzalini (Rome, Italy / Istituto Paritario G. Visconti) had the honors of getting the clincher at line two, improving to 5-2 this season in singles.

Eric Liao (Taipei, Taiwan / Boca Prep (Fla.)) improved to 3-0 at line five singles and 3-1 overall with his victory today. He followed the singles wins by Settles and Hamilton to put the Tigers on the verge of the sweep. Goldstein finished things off with the final point, winning 6-4, 7-6 (14-12).

Up Next

Trinity returns home on Saturday, March 12, for a pair of matches against Schreiner University and McMurry University. The SCAC contest against the Mountaineers will be played at 10:00 a.m., followed by the non-conference tilt with the War Hawks is scheduled for a 2:00 p.m. start.
