ALLENDALE, Mich. – Trinity University track & field opened its 2024-25 indoor season on Friday, as
CC Gray (Scottsdale, Ariz. / Notre Dame Prep) and
Nicolas Ladreyt (Santa Monica, Calif. / Harvard-Westlake School) competed at the Grand Valley State University (MI) Holiday Open.
Gray finished 10th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.25 seconds that is more than a second faster than her indoor time last year. She was 32nd in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.89 seconds that is just 0.05 seconds from her best time last winter.
Ladreyt had a pair of top 20 finishes in today's meet, racing in the same events as Gray. He was 18th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.47 seconds, then finished 11th in the 400-meter dash after crossing the line in 49.46 seconds. His time in the 400 is more than a second faster than his previous best, which came during the 2022-23 season.
