No. 14 Tiger Men's Tennis will head to Nicholasville, Kentucky to compete in the International Tennis Association (ITA) Indoor National Championships.

The Tigers (2-2) picked up a pair of wins last weekend against Concordia and Hardin-Simmons. The Tigers would win a hard-fought 5-4 win over Concordia with
Aashish Dhanani (Austin, Texas / Westwood) coming up clutch with a 6-4, 6-2 victory to seal the deal for TU. The next day, Trinity would wax Hardin-Simmons 8-1 to go undefeated and gain momentum going into the Indoor National Championships.

Preview - ITA Indoor National Championships

The Tigers will hit the road to Kentucky for the ITA Indoor National Championships. The Tigers will face off against the Stags of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Friday, February 23rd at 2:00 PM (ET). If the Tigers prevail, they will play the winner of the Emory versus Gustavus match. This will be the first time that the Tigers have competed in the Indoor National Championships since 2022 where they placed fourth after defeating Brandeis and then falling to Case Western Reserve and Wash U.Â

On the No.5 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Stags: The Stags are 3-1 so far this season. CMS dropped their first match against Point Loma Nazarene but then dominated their next three matches. The Stags come into the tournament ranked as the second seed. Claremont currently holds the ninth and twenty-third ranked singles players in sophomore Advik Mareedu and freshman Anirudh Gupta. However, the Stags do not have a doubles team ranked in doubles competition. Â

The Tigers will return to San Antonio to take on St. John's (NY) on Friday, March 1st, and then No. 22 Carnegie Mellon on Tuesday, March 5th.Â
