The Tigers (10-8) recently played in the three-match weekend where they went 2-1. Trinity opened up the weekend with a 6-1 win over Skidmore but fell to top-ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 2-5. TU ended the weekend with an epic comeback against No. 7 Washington University-St. Louis. The boys went down 0-3 after doubles play but went in singles play and claimed a 4-3 victory.Â

On the No. 48 UC Santa Cruz Banana Slugs: UC Santa Cruz 8-7 so far this season. The Banana Slugs are ranked 10 regionally and do not hold a top team singles or doubles teams in the region. UCSC has also picked up some high-quality wins this season such as a 5-4 win over No. 37 Christopher Newport. They have also played other tough competition like Chapman, Caltech, and Pomona-Pitzer so they are no stranger to ranked opponents. The Tigers have taken the last three matches against Santa Cruz but are 3-4 since 2009.Â
