SAN ANTONIO - Trinity Women's Tennis concludes Lilly Kimbell Invitational with some impressive wins.

The Tigers totaled 16 wins and 7 loses in singles while going 7-5 during doubles competition.
Ruth Hill (Abilene, Texas / Abilene),
Lauren Tin (Austin, Texas / Vandergrift), and
Lucy Nabedrick (Plymouth, Minnesota / Wayzata) won their singles flights while two other players and three doubles teams advanced to the final stage.Â

In Flight A of the doubles tournament, the dynamic duo of
Ruth Hill and
Olivia Kim (Phoenix Arizona / Desert Mountain), defeated Guadalupe Tocci and Annalena Noll from Texas A&M Kingsville with a score of 6-3. In the semifinals, they won a close match 5-7 against Anatasiia Opolska and Oshini Herath from Lubbock Christian. Unfortunately, they narrowly lost 6-4 in the finals to Selina Wu and Karen Kondo from St. Mary's.

In Flight C,
Trinity Levy (Camrillo, California / Weil Tennis Academy) and
Lucy Nabedrick received a bye in the opening round. They then won a tough match 7-6 (7-4) against Andrea Landaeta and Anouk Terpin from Kingsville. However, they also lost their final match to another St. Mary's doubles team.

In Flight D,
Brooke Belitz (Scottsdale, Arizona / Notre Dame Prep) and
Allison Vo (Sugar Land, Texas / Elkins) defeated Maya Adler and Taylor Nichols from LCU with a score of 6-4. They, too, fell short in the finals round.

Ruth Hill faced tough competition in her first two rounds of Flight 1 singles. In round one, she defeated Lauren Ely with scores of 6-2 and 7-6 (7-3). She continued her strong performance in round two, winning 6-3, 6-7, and 15-13 against Karen Kondo. Hill then dominated the finals, securing a convincing 6-0, 6-1 victory over Andrea De Bernardo from LCU.

Tin had an impressive debut tournament as a Tiger. She breezed through her first two rounds, sweeping Serenity Cabrera from Texas Lutheran and Annike Andersson Gomez from Kingsville. In the finals, Tin lost the first set 1-6 but made a remarkable comeback, winning the second set 6-4 and clinching the title with a 10-6 victory in the third set.

Another Trinity freshman,
Lucy Nabedrick, also had a strong showing in her first tournament. She easily defeated Mercedes Tirado with scores of 6-0 and 6-1, and then won against Callah Preti from St. Mary's with scores of 6-2 and 6-3. Nabedrick continued her impressive play in the finals, winning the first set 6-2 and then triumphing in the tiebreaker with a score of 10-3 after dropping the second set.
