SAN ANTONIO – The Trinity University football team had two players receive additional postseason honors from D3football.com and Dave Campbell's Texas Football.

Tiger senior offensive lineman Caleb Bayer (Grandview, Texas / Grandview) and junior wide receiver Alejandro Tavarez (San Antonio, Texas / Johnson) were both selected for Dave Campbell's Texas Football Non-FBS All-Texas teams, with Bayer making the First Team and Tavarez picked for the Second Team.

Bayer anchored an offensive line that paved the way for 36.3 points per game and 433.2 yards of total offense per game this season – including nearly 200 yards per game rushing. He is a First Team All-America honoree for the American Football Coaches Association, and a First Team Associated Press All-American, while also earning First Team All-Region accolades from D3football.com and First Team All-Southern Athletic Association recognition.

Tavarez led Trinity with 1,001 receiving yards and 15 touchdown receptions on 60 total catches this year. It marks just the seventh time in school history that a receiver has topped 1,000 yards in a season and his 15 touchdowns are tied for the second-most ever by a Tiger receiver. Tavarez earned Third Team All-American honors from the AP, and joined Bayer as a D3fotball.com First Team All-Region and First Team All-SAA player as well.

Trinity advanced to the Third Round of the NCAA Playoffs for the first time in more than 20 years, finishing the 2025 season with an overall record of 10-2. The Tigers have qualified for the NCAA Playoffs every year since 2021 and have 10 or more wins three times in the last five seasons.
