Trinity Track & Field Continues Spring Season At CenTex Invite

The Tiger Track and Field team resumes their spring season at the CenTex Invite at Southwestern University in Georgetown. 
 
Last Time
 
The Trinity University men and women's track and field team closed out the Jarvis Scott Open, which was hosted by Texas Tech University. The Tigers had 10 men and 14 women competing on Saturday with all but one competing on the track.
 
Tiger Runners put on an impressive display in the Track Events 
 
The women's 1000-meter run saw a strong showing from Emerson Voldan (Arlington, Texas / Mansfield Summit), who secured a fifth-place finish with a time of 3:02.10. On the men's side the 1000-meter run featured a top five performance from Sebastian Langer (Houston, Texas / Clear Lake), who finished fourth in 2:30.55. Jesus Rojas (Houston, Texas / Ridge Point) followed with a 13th-place finish at 2:36.36.
 
Field Events
 
In the women's triple jump, Joy Areola (Tomball, Texas / Rosehill Christian) placed 13th, reaching a mark of 11.97 meters (39-3.25).

Next up, the Tigers will head to Georgetown to resume their indoor season at the CenTex Invite at Southwestern University.

The Tigers will head to La Crosse, Wisconsin for the UW-La Crosse Final Qualifier hosted by University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on Saturday March 8th.
