Danya Selber Finishes 14th in 100 Hurdles to Earn All-America Honors

GENEVA, Ohio – Trinity University track & field senior Danya Selber (Edinburg, Texas / Robert Vela) earned Second Team All-American honors by finishing 14th in the women's 100-meter hurdles at the 2025 NCAA III Championships on Friday afternoon.

Selber raced to the finish in 14.35 seconds in the prelims, which marks the sixth time she broke Trinity's previous record in the 100 hurdles. She is the first female in Trinity track & field history to earn All-America honors in the 100 hurdles and joins Abigail Bannon-Schneebeck (400-meter hurdles in 2019) as the only Tiger women's hurdlers to pick up All-America recognition. Selber was just 0.23 seconds from qualifying for tomorrow's finals.

Trinity will continue its part in the NCAA Championships with its final two athletes competing. Joy Areola (Tomball, Texas / Rosehill Christian) and Bocar Diagana (Edina, Minn. / Edina) will be in the women's and men's triple jump. The men's event is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. with the women's to follow at 12:45 p.m.
