Trinity University kicks off the 2-25-26 season at home with the Trinity University Fall Invitational, set for Friday, September 19 through Sunday, September 21.
Last Season
The Tigers return ITA Single All-American Player,
Ryan Warren (Keller, Texas / Connection Academy), and ITA Doubles All-American,
Kishan Kersten (Plano, Texas / West). The program graduated two seniors including ITA Senior Player of the Year
Eric Liao (Taipei, Taiwan / Boca Prep) but brings back a strong core of talent.
Trinity's 2024-25 season was highlighted by a 17-11 overall record, finishing the year ranked No.21 nationally by the International Tennis Association (ITA). The Tigers closed their season strong, defeating Pomona-Pitzer twice, while also capturing the SCAC Championship and advancing to the Round of 16. They also excelled in the classroom and were also recognized as an ITA All-Academic Team.
Many players stood out throughout the year, as
Jared Perry (Tucson, Ariz. / Catalina Foothills) and Warren earned First Team All-SCAC honors in singles, while Kersten was named Second Team All-SCAC in singles and First Team Honors in doubles. Current Senior
Aashish Dhanani (Austin, Texas / Westwood) was also recognized with First Team doubles honors alongside his partner, Liao.
Head Coach
Russel McMindes was named the SCAC Coach of the Year after leading Trinity to its 29th conference title and 15th straight NCAA appearance during his 16th season coaching the Tigers.

The Trinity Invitational was last held in 2023. Trinity had a strong showing as
Ethan Ruppanner (Amarillo, Texas / Tascosa) won the flight two doubles bracket after defeating three other doubles teams. Ruppanner also went 1-1 in singles play. Perry went 1-1 in singles in flight 2 and Dhanani won his opening doubles match in flight three, but fell in the semifinals.
Ethan Flores (Houston, Texas / Clear Lake) joined Ruppanner with a 1-1 record in flight four.
Ivan Nikolovski (Alpine, N.J. / Dwight Global) was also 1-1 in the flight five draw. Flores and
Conor Kaczmarczyk (Aurora, Colo. / Regis Jesuit) were 1-1 in the doubles flight with Ruppanner falling to the eventual runners-up from UIW.
Preview
Trinity will open their fall season at the Trinity University Fall Invitational with matches from Friday, September 19th to Sunday, September 21st. This tournament will be individual and each player will compete in their own flight. There will be a mix of teams from NCAA I, II, & III as well as NAIA. These teams include St. Mary's, University of the Incarnate Word, and Lubbock Christian
