The No. 13 Trinity University Tigers Men's Tennis heads to Kentucky and Tennessee this weekend to begin conference play, facing Centre College Men's Tennis on Saturday, March 28 and Sewanee Men's Tennis on Sunday, March 29.
Last Time
Trinity is coming off a weekend at the Sagehen Invitational that featured three matches against nationally ranked opponents. The Tigers opened with a 6–1 loss to No. 1 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Men's Tennis, followed by a 4–2 decision against No. 6 Johns Hopkins University Men's Tennis. Trinity closed the trip with a tight 4–3 match against No. 16 Pomona-Pitzer Colleges Men's Tennis, with several courts going deep into matches.
The results didn't fully reflect how competitive the weekend was, as multiple matches came down to small margins against some of the top teams in the country.
Preview
Centre enters Saturday with a 4-6 record and has been competitive in dual matches this season. They have picked up wins at home and will look to stay consistent across doubles and singles.
Sewanee brings a 12-1 record into Sunday's match and has been one of the more consistent teams early this spring. Currently on a 10-match win streak, they have handled opponents well and will be a strong test to close out the weekend.
This trip marks the start of conference play for Trinity and shifts the focus toward matches that carry added importance as the season continues.
