Box Score San Antonio, TX-Trinity hosted the Trinity
Almost Last Meet tonight, its last of five home meets.
All-American Zach Brush (Edmond, OK) had an amazing
performance in the 800m race. He placed first, running an NCAA
provisional mark and his best time ever. 1:51.01 places Brush
second in the nation. This is his best mark by .90 seconds and is a
new school record.
Also standing out for the Tigers was sophomore All-American
Justin Campbell (Victoria, TX). Justin competed in the discus
placing second behind UTSA's Richard Garrett.
Campbell's throw of 47.65m is yet another provisional mark
for him.
On the women's side Corey Callahan (Austin, TX) competed in four
of seven events in the heptathlon tonight. She placed first in the
100m hurdles, second in the high jump, second in the 200m dash, and
second in the shot put. She will finish the remaining three
events tomorrow in hopes of hitting the NCAA provisional mark
of 4100 points.
Two alumni also took part in the meet. Jeremy Daum (08) and
Emily Loeffler (09) both finished second in the 5,000m run.
Jeremy Daum ran a standout time of 15:42.20 behind Northwood's
Alfred Kite, who ran an impressive 14:55.62.
The Tigers will have a handful of athletes compete at the
University of Incarnate Word's Last Chance meet on Thurdsay.
