NACOGDOCHES/KINGSVILLE, Texas – The Trinity track & field team traveled to Texas A&M University - Kingsville today for the Cactus Cup while the distance squad competed in day two of the Carl Knight Invitational at Stephen F. Austin State University. The team saw some more shuffling of the all-time lists as they built on the previous night's momentum.

In Nacogdoches,
Jackson Gallagher (Ft. Worth, Texas / Southwest Christian) began the day for the Tigers in the 400-meter, running 49.98 for 15th and his first time under 50 seconds.
In the women's 800-meter, school record holder
Annette Smith (Houston, Texas / Ridge Point) led the way for the Tigers in 2:17.28, notching an eighth-place finish.
Emerson Voldan (Arlington, Texas / Mansfield Summit) and
Halle Hamilton (Craig, Colorado / Moffat County) also broke 2:20, running 2:19.46 and 2:19.86, respectively.
Cali Good (Yucaipa, California / Yucaipa) saw a big PR, running 2:22.28 to take more than four seconds off her best time. Hamilton doubled back shortly after in the 200-meter, where she ran 27.92.
The men's 800-meter saw
Ryan Tresaugue (Spring, Texas / The Woodlands) improve on his second-place ranking on Trinity's all-time list, running 1:52.37 for third place. The time also moves him up to 12th on the NCAA Division III list.
Dashiell Browne (Lantana, Texas / Guyer),
Joseph Gurulé (Santa Fe, N.M. / Academy for Technology and the Classics) and
JT Ahmann (Austin, Texas / McNeil) also grabbed PR's in the event.

Down the road in Kingsville, the men's and women's 4x100-meter squads began the day's running events as the women's team of
Nia Scott (Dickinson, Texas / Dickinson),
CC Gray (Scottsdale, Ariz. / Notre Dame Prep),
Danya Selber (Edinburg, Texas / Robert Vela) and
Shifa Daredia ( / ) posted a time of 48.98. The men's team of
Legend Grigsby (Houston, Texas / Cypress Creek),
Orie Piken (Torrance, Calif. / West Torrance),
Ryan Forson ( / ) and
Price Schultea (Cypress, Texas / Cypress Christian) ran 41.29, ranking them fourth on Trinity's all-time list and 11th on the NCAA Division III list.
The women's 100-meter hurdles came next, where Selber improved on her school record time, lowering it to 14.55 to take second place. Her time also moves her up to 14th on the NCAA Division III list.
Kris Duggan (San Antonio, Texas / Johnson) took fourth place in the men's 110-meter hurdles, running a time of 15.26.
School record holder Gray led the way for the Tiger women in the 400-meter, running 59.92 for seventh place.
Lily Broussard (Houston, Texas / National Christian) followed closely in 11th with a time of 1:01.18. In the men's 400-meter, Schultea and
Nic Ladreyt (Santa Monica, Calif. / Harvard-Westlake School) led the way, running 49.66 for 10th and 49.71 for 11th, respectively.
In the women's 100-meter dash, Scott ran 12.63 for 11th place. For the men, Grigsby led the way in 10.89 for 11th place.
Kaleem Howard (Jacksboro, Texas / Jacksboro) placed eighth in the 400-meter hurdles, running a time of 1:00.86.
Gray took 10th place in the women's 200-meter dash with a time of 26.65. School record holder Schultea took ninth in the men's 200-meter dash in a time of 21.95.
In the men's 1500-meter dash,
Jacob Ontiveros (El Paso, Texas / El Paso) took 13th in 4:25.32, followed closely by
Joshua Gal (Weatherford, Texas / Weatherford) in a PR of 4:26.76 for 15th.
In the day's field events,
Madeleine Seabolt (San Diego, Calif. / Mt. Carmel) took third in the women's javelin with a toss of 28.97m.
Ayoob Ismael (Concord, N.H. / Concord) took second in the men's javelin with a distance of 41.62m.
In the women's hammer throw,
Rachel Bell (Manvel, Texas / Lutheran South Academy) took seventh place in a distance of 42.74m. In the men's hammer throw,
Aaron Chang (Fullerton, Calif. / Valley Christian) took sixth in a throw of 39.11m.
In the women's discus, Bell took sixth in a PR distance of 40.31m, improving on her number two placement on Trinity's all-time list. She was followed closely by Seabolt in seventh with a PR of 39.75m, moving her up to third on the all-time list.
Maria Bodden (San Antonio, Texas / Incarnate Word HS) took eighth with a PR of 34.88m, moving her up to seventh on the all-time list. In the men's discus,
Xadrian Huerta (San Antonio, Texas / Jay) threw for a PR of 44.34m, putting him sixth on the all-time list.
In the women's shot put,
Kate Ballengee (Albuquerque, N.M. / Bosque School) took seventh in 11.35m. In the men's shot put, Chang took fifth in 13.78m.
In the women's long jump,
Joy Areola (Tomball, Texas / Rosehill Christian) took fifth in 5.60m.
Andrew Mueller ( / ) took third in the men's long jump in a distance of 6.57m.
In the women's triple jump, school record holder Areola took third in 11.80m. She was followed in fifth by
Ciandra Carrico (San Antonio, Texas / Johnson), who set a PR of 11.08m. In the men's triple jump,
Bocar Diagana (Edina, Minn. / Edina) took second in 13.84m.
In the women's high jump,
Sophia Ortiz (Liberty Hill, Texas / Liberty Hill) took ninth, equaling her PR of 1.57m.
Anika Hatlevig (New Prague, Minn. / New Prague) set a PR of 1.47m just behind her in 11th. Mueller took third in the men's high jump with a PR of 1.91m.
In the women's pole vault,
Addison Doss (Sugar Land, Texas / Logos Preparatory Academy) took third in 3.36m. In the men's pole vault,
Adrian Suarez (Carrollton, Texas / Greenhill) took seventh in 4.16m.
The Tigers will get an off week next weekend to prepare for the SCAC Championships on April 25 at Texas Lutheran University in Seguin. The men, who have been crowned conference champions each of the last four seasons, will face stiff competition from conference newcomers McMurry University, who were ranked 10th nationally in last week's USTFCCCA poll. The 21st-ranked women, who finished second to Colorado College at last year's championships, will match up against another strong Colorado team, ranked ninth nationally.
